An ask is a sell order placed in an exchange order book specifying the minimum price a trader is willing to accept for a cryptocurrency at a given quantity.

An order book is a real-time electronic list of all open buy and sell orders for a cryptocurrency on an exchange, organized by price level and continuously updated.
