Market capitalization (market cap) is the total value of a cryptocurrency, calculated by multiplying the current price by the circulating supply of coins.

The degree of price variation in an asset over time. Crypto exhibits very high volatility relative to traditional assets — the same property that enables large gains also enables large losses. For long-term investors, volatility is the cost of the return, not the enemy.
